Tar Viscometer
The Tar Viscometer is a precision laboratory apparatus designed as per IS: 1206 to determine the viscosity of cutback bitumen and road oils. It features a chrome-plated copper bath or stainless steel bath with a drain valve and a central tube to accommodate the test cup and stirrer.
Mounted on a stand with leveling feet, the viscometer ensures stability and accurate measurement. The stirrer is equipped with a curved shield, insulated handle, thermometer socket, and swivel support for the valve. The apparatus is supplied complete with a 10 mm test cup and ball valve, providing reliable, repeatable, and precise viscosity readings for road construction, asphalt mix design, and civil engineering laboratories.
